The Idea of Surgery Scares Me

If the idea of surgery scares you, you are not alone! No one looks forward to surgery and all that it involves. The important thing to remember is to focus on the long term outlook and how taking care of your knee pain will have a profoundly positive impact on your daily life. Imagine walking or riding your bike without pain. Imagine being able to play with your grandchildren without pain.

At North Cypress Medical Center, we want you to know that we care about you and want to make your experience as positive as possible. North Cypress Medical Center is a 91-bed, general acute care hospital, founded by local physicians who wanted to create a sophisticated, upscale, patient-friendly healthcare environment for their community. Our services include the latest, state-of-the-art medical technology and equipment, well-respected area physicians, and an upscale 5-star hotel-like ambience.

Our specially trained nurses and staff are here to assist your every need while you are staying with us. They have dedicated themselves to excellence in the care of patients following orthopaedic surgery. They have in-depth knowledge of the physicians' protocols and patient needs and also participate in ongoing education in their specialty of Orthopaedics.

Following your stay, you will follow up with our specialized rehabilitation team at our State of the Art North Cypress Sports Medicine Center. This high-tech, 7,000-square-foot facility offers a range of services including:

  • Post-injury and post-surgical rehabilitation
  • Return-to-sport functional testing
  • Aquatic therapy pool with underwater treadmill

Nine area physicians along with a team of experienced physical therapists now provide dedicated sports medicine care to the area. Led by Dr. David R. Mack, orthopedic surgeon and medical director, the doctors and therapists help athletes and patients rehabilitate following surgery or injury.
